Herbal remedies are growing more and more well-liked today due to their numerous advantages. Nowadays, many illnesses can be treated with herbal remedies, and the majority of people (more than 80%) believe in using herbal products and medicines to stay healthy. More and more people are using herbal products, but some of these products are being misused or contaminated, causing problems for both customers and suppliers. Scientists are having a difficult time developing accurate tests to measure the important compounds in these products and to analyse their chemical composition. Standardization is important in making sure that herbal medicines are of consistent quality and have the same biological effects. Different techniques like DNA fingerprinting, metabolomics, and X-ray diffraction can be used to ensure the quality of herbal remedies. Chromatographic and capillary electrophoresis techniques are also helpful in standardizing herbal treatments. The article discusses traditional and new treatments in this field.
